Best of NHCranmore Mountain’s Meister Hut Wine Dinners have been selected by the editors of New Hampshire Magazine as “Best of NH 2008” for Mountaintop Dinners.

The dinners, which will be offered on five nights during Cranmore’s winter operating season in 2008-2009, were launched in 2008 to great acclaim. They feature a four-course menu with wine pairings in the rustic setting of the mountaintop Meister Hut. Guests choose between a selection of five entrees, each accompanied by wine carefully matched to each course. Diners reach the summit via the high-speed express quad. The dinner is open to skiers and non-skiers alike with a welcome reception starting at 6pm each evening.

Brandied Pumpkin & Apple Bisque

Appetizer

Grilled Shrimp Cocktail

Spinach & Gorgonzola stuffed Portabella mushroom w/ Chiron sauce

Herb marinated Lamb lollipops w/ minted demi glaze

Salad

Baby spinach, strawberry & candied hazelnuts, w/ Poppy seed vinaigrette

Entrée

  1. Grilled veal chop w/ heirloom tomato ragout over roasted garlic parmesan spaetzle.
  2. Macadamia nut and panco encrusted Barramundi (fish) with citrus white wine butter sauce over basmati rice.
  3. Sun dried tomato roasted shallot, spinach aged cheddar stuffed pork tenderloin with a burgundy wine caramelized onion pan sauce. Served with Yukon gold sour cream & chive mashed potato.
  4. Pan seared medallions of Venison, wild mushroom port wine sauce. Served with Yukon gold sour cream & chive mashed potato.
  5. Shrimp, Lobster, & Scallop etoufee served over roasted garlic wild rice
